GameThread for Dallas Stars at St. Louis Blues, May 3, 2016

The Blues are looking to regain their game tonight with some beefed up time for the fourth line.

You want to give the run and gun Dallas Stars some problems? You get the fourth line out there to slow them down. So sayth Hitch, earlier today to Jeremy Rutherford:

"We've got to play them more, that's on me," Hitchcock said. "The energy in the games is so high and so extended that it just isn't a three-line game. There's just so much exertion. I've never seen two teams put such a commitment into checking and hounding the puck and being determined on the puck, as I've seen in the first two games. Both teams are on full alert as far as doing the hard stuff, checking-wise.

"It's made it very difficult offensively. The scoring chances are down and are going down each game because there's just such a strong commitment from a work ethic standpoint on both teams. You're going to have to play your roster deep."

If all goes according to plan, the Blues will finish the evening up 2-1 on the Dallas Stars.
