CBJ, Monsters give Bednar 2-year extension


Has anyone else noticed that the current AHL champion Lake Erie Monsters were built by the former Blues' braintrust of John Davidson and Jarmo Kekalainen, are coached by former Peoria Rivermen head coach Jared Bednar, and that their goalies are mentored by former Blue and NHL netminder Manny Legace?

Makes one wonder just what could have been accomplished here if the Blues had been willing to give Kekalainen the GM job instead of pushing him out the door in favor of Doug Armstrong...
