I know pre-season hockey is always a contentious topic around here. Some folks love it, some hate it. Some think it’s a chance to watch the kids/PTOs give it all they have, others consider it fake hockey and resent the fact that they have to pay for pre-season games as part of their season ticket holder packages.
I understand both perspectives. Personally, I get frustrated at the lack of video feed of the games, because as awesome as listening on the radio to Chase and Kerbs is, I’d like a chance to visually evaluate the players.
Whatever your view on pre-season hockey is, I think that we all agree that the summer release of the schedule is a sign that the season is right around the corner. The NHL has released the pre-season schedule for all 30 teams today; here is what the Blues have on tap:
