  • Speaking of that stupid tournament . . . Vladimir Sobotka left one of Team Czech Republic’s exhibition games with a clavicle injury. He’s expected to return in time for the tournament. [SLGT]
  • Jay Bouwmeester . . . goal-scorer? He did so on a one-timer from Ryan Getzlaf (and on Corey Schneider) in a Canada-USA exhibition match. [SLGT]
  • The Blues set their Traverse City Tournament roster. Five of their eight 2016 draft picks will be playing. [SLGT]

  • Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa had to go to a local hospital in Quebec City after suffering an injury for Team Some Of Europe during an exhibition match between them and Team Not Applicable. [The Sporting News]
  • Paul Gaustad announces his retirement. He was a free agent and had been in declining favor among fans in Nashville. [TSN]
