Vladimir Sobotka Suffers Clavicle Injury During Exhibition Game

If he’s returning, it may be later rather than sooner.

Whelp, the World Cup of Hockey claimed its first victim today, and of course it’s a (kind of) Blue. Vladimir Sobotka suffered a clavicle injury today during the Czech Republic’s exhibition game against Russia.

Later updates stated that it wasn’t as bad as some feared - a broken clavicle - and despite a trip to the hospital Sobotka might play on Saturday.

Still, between the “will he/won’t he” of Sobotka’s return and this injury, Sobe’s stirring up unnecessary drama. It’s fitting that a not quite a Blue was injured in an exhibition game. Just wait for someone to drop during a real one.
