Jets at Blues preview: Allen in net, Reaves on third line

Welcome back, Jake.

NHL: Winnipeg Jets at St. Louis Blues Billy Hurst-USA TODAY Sports

Jake Allen apparently either a) has his confidence back or b) is the default guy in net right now. Whatever the reason, he'll be starting tonight against the Jets after a failed attempt against them on January 21st.

What Jake are we getting tonight? Who knows. What we do know is that Hitchcock is heading out of the All Star Break with his line blender at full blast. Here're the lines for tonight:

Forwards

Alexander Steen - Paul Stastny - David Perron

Jaden Schwartz - Jori Lehtera - Vladimir Tarasenko

Robby Fabbri - Patrik Berglund - Ryan Reaves

Scottie Upshall - Ivan Barbashev - Nail Yakupov

Defense

Joel Edmundson - Alex Pietrangelo

Carl Gunnarsson - Kevin Shattenkirk

Jay Bouwmeester - Colton Parayko

Goalie

Jake Allen

As you can see, Ivan Barbashev is getting a shot tonight on the fourth line, while Ryan Reaves is up on the third with Fabbri and Berglund. Yakupov may have a better chance to score on the third, but maybe Barbashev has a better chance of scoring with Yak on the fourth, so who knows?

Not sure how Upshall ties into Barbashev scoring a goal, but we'll see.

The Blues are fighting for a Wild Card slot. The Jets are kind of doing the same thing. Both teams play each other hard, so at the very least, tonight’ll be entertaining.
