Game Highlights:
After a dismal performance against Carolina the other night, the Blues looked to bounce back against the Stars. Just three minutes into the game, Lauri Korpikoski(somehow not a woman) scores on the breakaway. 1-0 bad guys.
Midway through the first, Stastny takes advantage of a favorable bounce of the boards. Nothing but net. Does he get extra points if he called "bank" before it went in?
Former Blue Adam Cracknell still has an NHL job. Turns out he plays for the Stars. He was able to get a decent chance on Hutton, but Carter makes the save to keep it a 1-1 game.
Towards the end of the first, the Blues were on the powerplay. Robby Fabbri keeps the puck towards the Blues end of the ice. Steen grabs the loose puck and feeds it over to Stastny. Stastny then passes it back to Tarasenko, and Tarasenko isn't gonna miss from there. It's 2-1 Blues.
The Stars had a powerplay chance at the very beginning of the second period. Patrick Eaves was able to collect the rebound and put it in the back of the net for the 2-2 tie. These guys just aren't gonna go away are they?
The Blues took the lead again on another powerplay goal. This time Stastny deflected an Alexander Steen shot and makes it 3-2 Blues. Kari Lehtonen was pulled in favor of Niemi. So really no change in what garbage goaltender the Blues were going to score on.
Playing some four on four hockey at the end of the second and John Klingberg just walks in and scores. Really. Maybe the Blues were ready to go into the locker room, because they sure didn't want to play defense on this one.
Starting off the third period, the Stars almost went ahead. But ultimately the Stars were denided the lead thanks to a timely kick save from...Colton Parayko?
Patrik Berglund gets the game winner with a minute fifty five left in regulation. Thank you for saving us all from the heartattack that is 3 on 3 overtime. Also, more importantly, not giving the Stars a participation point.
Blues win 4-3 and had a much better performance than that "game" against Carolina. They take on David Backes and the Bruins on Tuesday.
From the Twitter Machine:
From today's skill competition. Holy shit.
Dear opposing goalies: Do NOT get in front of Colton Parayko's slapshot. Parayko hits 104 mph in the hardest shot competition. #stlblues pic.twitter.com/xbYc7CYAqK

Hutton uses the cages at Busch more than some Cardinals do...
So we found a great use for the batting cages. pic.twitter.com/Wxeg7qEVF6

And Finally, can the Blues just make these the alternate sweaters already? For pretty much ever?
Those jerseys look just as good inside as they do outside #stlblues pic.twitter.com/D3psX5fgmS
