Alexander Steen, who had his hand injured in training camp this off-season, has missed one home game this season, and only one - he returns to the lineup tonight. Steen was his usual direct self:
"It's a perfect game to come back in. Atmosphere will be electric as usual against these guys," Steen said. "High pace. It's a good game for me to get right back into it."
The Blues haven't been getting offense from their bottom six; Steen's return knocks one of the usual top six forwards down into the bottom six, evening out the attack. Samuel Blais, who was projected to be on a line with Paul Stastny and Vladimir Tarasenko if Steen could not play tonight, will be on the second line with Jaden Schwartz and Brayden Schenn - still excellent company.
The odd man out is Vladimir Sobotka, who will be playing left wing on a line with Ivan Barbashev and Dmitrij Jaskin. The fourth line is the usual crew of Scottie Upshall, Oskar Sundqvist, and Kyle Brodziak.
