The Toronto Maple Leafs began this season on a tear, winning seven of their first nine games. They've lost four of their last five.
Learning curve for the kids? Sure. Need for better goaltending and a less porous defense? Absolutely. Exploitable by the Blues? If they convert on their chances tonight, totally.
Thursday night's 2-0 shutout loss was a disappointment, mostly due to a lack of converting on shots. If the Blues play like they did Thursday with better puck luck, they should be fine.
Some line-shuffling will happen tonight. Dmitrij Jaskin is up on the third line to try to fix their issues. Chris Thorburn is back in to balance out Toronto's physicality. While it's unfortunate to see a fourth line that was clicking broken up, the Blues need scoring and offense out of their third line guys at some point before Patrik Berglund recovers.
This is your gameday thread. Comment like you're glad that Auston Matthews only comes to St. Louis once a year.
Let's do this. Let's Go Blues.
