The Blues have been playing some pretty disheartening hockey as of late. They're sitting at a three game losing streak in which they've been outscored 6-3, and Jaden Schwartz's absence is more evident than ever. Tonight, Mike Yeo will be trying to shoehorn Patrik Berglund on a line Vladimir Tarasenko and Brayden Schenn.
It's surprising this hasn't happened yet. Berglund's off to a slow-ish return, with four goals and an assist in 13 games, but that's as many goals as Dmitrij Jaskin has in 34 games, and two fewer than Vladimir Sobotka has in 37. There's really no reason not to give Berglund a shot here. They looked decent enough in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Edmonton Oilers.
The Canucks are down Bo Horvat, and that hasn't gone that well for them so far. They've lost seven of their last eight games without him, so maybe they and the Blues can share a beer after the game and sob over missing scorers.
This is your GameDay Thread. Comment like you're glad that this Western Canada swing is almost done.
Let's do this. Let's Go Blues.
