Sometimes being a season ticket holder for a team gets you perks. You might get a cool lanyard, awesome printed game-day tickets, discounts, coasters, and other various and sundry fun things. Town hall meetings and equipment sales are about as close as most STHs get to meeting the team and putting on the gear.

For Tyler Stewart, he got a perk that he never dreamed of. He was the Blues’ backup goalie for a period last night while the team waited on Ville Husso to arrive. Carter Hutton missed the game due to an injury sustained in practice.

Stewart has experience as a goaltender - he played some junior hockey at SLU. The Blues gave him a call after work yesterday and by the start of the evening he was hanging out with Vladimir Tarasenko and blocking shots in warm-ups.

He finished the game with his wife and mother in his normal seats, but boy, what a great early Christmas gift.
