GameDay Thread: Blues at Canadiens

The Blues can wrap up their Canadian road trip with their fourth win in a row.

First off, let me start off this GDT by giving a HUGE shout-out to JeffJonesGT and JMBlues83 for their killer work today. Jeff’s been following along with the team in Canada, freezing half to death, getting interviews with the guys and with Mike Yeo, and it’s made for some outrageously good reading. JM’s previews and his analysis of Yeo’s coaching strategy is a must-read. I’ve been swamped at work (kids write a lot nowadays, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise) and have been either out of town or sick, so they’ve helped out a ton around here. It is muy appreciated.

Tonight’s game could be the Blues first four win streak in what feels like ages, against a Montreal team that has taken permanent residence at the top of the Atlantic Division. They’re 4-4-2 in their last ten, though, giving the Blues a window of opportunity.

The Blues have been playing better, even though tonight they’ll have to play without Paul Stastny. This is going to give Magnus PRV the opportunity of his career - let’s see what he does with it.

This is your GameDay Thread. Comment like you want to see the Blues get some ground on the Predators - who lost today against the Panthers.

Let’s do this. Let’s Go Blues.
