The Blues and Blackhawks haven’t seen each other since the Blues’ 4-1 victory over the Hawks in the Winter Classic. The standings haven’t changed much since then - Chicago’s still got a solid hold on the number two spot in the division - but the quality of play for the Blues has seen a shift.
Unfortunately, that momentum was halted by back-to-back losses heading into the bye week, and then by the bye week itself. The Blues started the bye week in third place in the Central, and begin tonight’s game in the number two wild card slot. Adding insult to injury is the fact that most teams coming off of the bye weeks have stumbled to varying degrees.
Toss in the fact that tonight is a NBC Sports Network national broadcast against the Blues’ biggest rivals, and yeah, I can see where people can be a little trepidatious. But hey, embrace the fact that the Blues are back, try to ignore whatever is coming on Tuesday, and enjoy the game.
This is your gameday thread. Comment like you missed these guys.
Let’s do this. Let’s Go Blues.
