Here’re the offensive lines for tonight’s matchup against the Philadelphia Flyers:

Steen-Stastny-Tarasenko
Agostino-Lehtera-Perron
Schwartz-Berglund-Jaskin
Upshall-Barbashev-Reaves
Extras: Yakupov, Paajarvi
You’ll note a few things.
One, Magnus Paajarvi has rejoined the team and will be comparing notes with Nail Yakupov on how to be a former first round draft pick in the press box. What is expected of you? Do you get priority on the pretzels? Things like that.
The next thing is that Kenny Agostino, who has 18 goals and 42 freaking assists will be on the second line with Jori Lehtera and David Perron.
The third thing is that finally, after over half a season of fan apoplexy, Paul Stastny is centering Vladimir Tarasenko. The team’s best center is centering the team’s best forward.
While it remains to be seen if Agostino’s AHL success will translate into NHL success, it’s time that he got the call-up. As far as Stastny and Tarasenko are concerned, it’s been time for that pairing to happen since the first day of the season.
Good call, Yeo.
