Blues at Avalanche gameday thread: Hello, again

No one needs to remind the Avalanche that their season is shot. They’re 18 points behind the Arizona Coyotes, have won just one of their last five games, and absolutely got hosed on a questionable off-side call that led to a goal by the Chicago Blackhawks.

They can’t buy a win.

The Blues, one of the streakiest damn teams in the league down the home stretch, have won three of four on this road trip. They’ve shut out teams seven of the last 19 road games, and the Avalanche’s offense is nil. Their defense is nil. Their fans are waiting for the draft.

And the Blues play them two more times after tonight. Talk about a gift down the stretch.

If the Blues can play at a level above their opponents’, they should be back into third place in the Central by 11:00 tonight.
