Blues clinch sixth consecutive playoff berth

It’s the 41st time in franchise history they’ve made the postseason.

By virtue of gaining a point in a 2-1 overtime loss against the Colorado Avalanche, the St. Louis Blues have punched their Stanley Cup playoff ticket for the sixth season in a row, the sixth longest active streak in the NHL. It’s a ways off from the playoff stretch between 1980 and 2004, but hopefully this is the beginning of another long stretch of playoff hockey for the Blues.

And maybe something shiny. Finally.

This year’s playoff clinch comes courtesy of Ryan Reaves, who scored the Blues’ only regulation goal in the first period.
