Blues at Avalanche gameday thread: Easy win?

New, comments

One can only hope.

NHL: St. Louis Blues at Colorado Avalanche Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

I pity the poor person who made tonight’s programming decision for NBCSN. Really. I know that these decisions were made at the start of the season, but this isn’t exactly the matchup that the programming executives envisioned.

Tonight’s feed is available on NBCSN and on the LiveExtra app if you don’t have a TV handy.

The Avalanche are the worst team in the league, the Blues are on a five game losing streak and are on the wrong side of the playoff window, and the Blues were bigger sellers at the trade deadline than the Avalanche were. Friday night’s 3-0 to the Winnipeg Jets was listless, flat, and disinterested despite a solid performance from Carter Hutton.

Tonight Mike Yeo has switched the lines around. Let’s see how this works.
