Blues at Wild game five gameday thread

Will the Blues wrap up the series this afternoon?

I guess we can all conclude that the Minnesota Wild did not play game four like it was a game seven, because coach Bruce Boudreau got them to win.

The Blues, luckily, have played well on the road this season and took the first two games at XCel Energy Center despite being outshot. Jake Allen’s goaltending handily backstopped them to a couple of wins. Allen looked borderline humanesque on Wednesday night, allowing two goals. The offense withered despite playing two solid periods to conclude the game - the first period, well, let us not speak of that.

Today’s game is broadcast on NBC and should be over with by the first pitch of tonight’s Cards/Brewers game, so get ready for a St. Louis sports coma and hopefully some celebratory frosty adult beverages.

This is your game day thread. Comment like you want this over with.

Let’s do this. Let’s Go Blues.
