NBC Sports (which encompasses both NBCSN and NBC) has released their broadcast schedule today, and the season starts off with the Blues. They’ll be visiting the defending Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins on October 4th.

Wednesday Night Rivalry will be back for 23 match-ups, which will feature the Blues vs. Blackhawks and probably random match-ups like the Wild vs. the Capitals. The Blues will be featured on the Rivalry night five times. Apparently we’re rivals with the Bruins now. Thanks, David Backes!

The Blackhawks lead the count with 17 games broadcast on the year (because they drive ratings, duh). The Penguins and Flyers have 16 appearances, and the Capitals, Red Wings, and Bruins will have 15 appearances apiece, respectively. The Blues will be featured nine times.

Surprisingly, the Blues will not be featured on NBC’s Sunday slate of games. They will, however, be featured on Sunday Night Hockey on March 18th against the Chicago Blackhawks.

The new schedule (the most diverse ever because it includes every American team!) can be viewed on NBCSports.com.
