Wild at Blues gameday thread: Kansas City Bound

Kansas City, hey hey hey!

Tonight’s pre-season game is at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, an NHL ready(ish) arena without a team. Would it be a great place for an AHL team, say, a Blues affiliate? Probably. But for right now they have to make due with one pre-season game a year. After playing host to the Capitals last year, KC gets to witness the glory that are the Minnesota Wild.

Something to keep an eye on tonight is, obviously, which of the Blues manage not to get broken. With the news yesterday that Robby Fabbri is out for the season, chances are good that one of the kids might hang around longer than expected. Or, as a special treat, Blues fans might get the chance to buy a Jagr jersey to add to our “vets who were briefly Blues” jersey collections.

From the Blues’ official site, here’s tonight’s line-up:

Forwards: Sam Blais, Kyle Brodziak, Klim Kostin, Wade Megan, Magnus Paajarvi, Brayden Schenn, Jaden Schwartz, Vladimir Sobotka, Paul Stastny, Oskar Sundqvist, Vladimir Tarasenko, Tage Thompson, Chris Thorburn

Defense: Robert Bortuzzo, Vince Dunn, Joel Edmundson, Colton Parayko, Alex Pietrangelo, Nate Prosser, Jake Walman

Goalies: Jake Allen, Carter Hutton
