Game Highlights:

It feels like it’s been a week since the Blues last played doesn’t it? Tonight the team was in Toronto to take on the Maple Leafs. We pick up the action in the second period, as the Blues/Leafs skated to a 0-0 tie after 20 minutes. Carter Hutton was again strong in goal tonight. Tyler Bozak had a chance from close range, but Hutton was having none of it.

But then, we give you reason 8459457 why the Blues should just try and decline all power plays from here on out. Alex Pietrangelo tried to play the puck and it bounced past him. Connor Brown rushed ahead with said puck in on Hutton. Hutton unable to stop Brown’s short handed bid and puts the Leafs up 1-0. (Insert Allen would have stopped it sarcasm/snark here)

The last time the Blues scored with their goaltender pulled was an April 2016 game against the Blackhawks. That was until tonight. The Blues scored with 57 seconds left in regulation tying the game at one. Alexander Steen was the beneficiary of Frederik Anderson rebound and backhanded the puck right back into the net.

In the overtime period, Hutton had to make another break away save. William Nylander takes the puck from Sobotka and turns on the jets. Hutton is able to make the save and keep the game 1-1.

Vince Dunn wasn’t even going to be playing tonight. Vince Dunn is from right down the road. Vince Dunn had a bunch of family and friends at the game. Vince Dunn was on the ice for the 3 on 3 OT. Vince Dunn went down the ice on a two on one chance Vince Dunn scored the game winning goal in the OT period. Vince Dunn...Vince Dunn...VINCE DUNN. (Side note, what in the Blue hell was Mitch Marner doing?)

Blues beat Leafs 2-1 in OT after it looked like the Blues were about to Blues it again. Shots for each team: STL 42, TOR 31. Goal scorers for each side: Connor Brown 11th, Alexander Steen scored his 7th and Vince Dunn scored his 4th for the game winner. The Blues head to Ottawa to take on the Senators Thursday.
