Last night’s 4-1 win over the reeling Ottawa Senators was the most offensive explosion that the Blues have given fans in a while (not counting January 9th’s 7-4 loss to the Panthers, because who wants to count a loss?). Alex Pietrangelo scored his first goal in 27 games, Alexander Steen potted an empty netter, Brayden Schenn decided to pretend Jaden Schwartz was on his line, and Vladimir Tarasenko scored his 20th of the season.
There is no such thing as a bad goal for the team who does the scoring, but my question to you, readers, is which one was the best? Here is the evidence:
Tarasenko’s goal to put the Blues up 1-0:
Pietrangelo’s birthday gift to himself:
Schenn’s five-hole goal with an assist from Steen:
Finally, Steen’s empty netter because insurance is always a good thing:
Which goal was the goal of the game?
