Carter Hutton’s incredible save keeps the Blues in the game

The Blues have had outstanding goaltending this season from both Jake Allen and Carter Hutton. Tonight, in his ninth start, Hutton got the Blues the opportunity for two points in the shootout.

While spending most of the overtime period in their own zone, the Blues allowed the Devils a barrage of shots. One of these almost went in. Or, well, it would’ve gone in had Hutton not had the reflexes of a gnat on speed. Witness:
