So, the great Jay Bouwmeester-free experiment is over. Which, well, isn’t really that big of deal because it’s highly doubtful that the Blues beat the Leafs 4-1 Saturday night just because JayBo wasn’t in the lineup.
Robert Bortuzzo returned to STL with a lower-body injury and a doctor’s appointment, leaving room for Bouwmeester to rejoin the lineup tonight. Regardless of what defenseman is where, the Blues have a common goal: keep Patrik Laine off of the scoresheet. He scored the first goal against the Blues on October 4th, and has scored (shockingly) only two other times since then. Three goals in eight games? Slow start, I guess.
This is your GameDay Thread. Comment like you hope I didn’t just jinx the Blues.
Let’s do this. Let’s Go Blues.
