The goaltender had to leave the game toward the end of the second period.

With just over a minute remaining in the second period tonight, Jake Allen made his biggest save of the game. Unfortunately, it was also his last save:

Zach Sanford collided with Allen’s head, clearly sending his head awkwardly snapping backwards. Allen was down on the ice for about a minute before getting up and being helped. Chad Johnson finished the period and the game, saving all five shots against.

This post will be updated when word of Allen’s condition are released.
