Wild at Blues GameDay Thread

NHL: Minnesota Wild at St. Louis Blues Jeff Curry-USA TODAY Sports

The St.Louis Blues (6-5-3) will finish their seven-game-homestand today against the visiting Minnesota Wild (10-4-2). Interestingly enough, the Blues are ending a seven-game stretch of home games at the same time the Wild are ending their own seven-game road trip. Holy symmetry, Batman!

The Blues and Wild are both running hot right now. Minnesota shellacked the Ducks 5-1 on Friday, and St.Louis shut out the speedy Sharks 4-0. In the cut-throat Central Division, 2 points in the standings are a big deal, and the Blues should be playing some desperate hockey this afternoon.

Ryan O’Reilly is on a nine game point streak, Tarasenko has points in his last six games, and Chad Johnson has won two straight starts, stopping 71 of 72 shots faced. Minnesota is only four points behind the division-leading Predators in the standings, and the Wild are 8-2-0 over their last 10 games.

More than being just a key divisional match-up, this game also starts at 2PM Central, which makes it a terrific opportunity to get in some quality day drinking. This is your GameDay Thread, be sure to let us know what you’re drinking today before you become too inebriated to type.
