Jake Allen returns to the net after some incredible work by Carter Hutton
Game Highlights:
The Blues were back in action last night taking on the refs The Boston Bruins in Boston. As noted Jake Allen got the nod after having some time off. The Bruins found a way to crash the net and score the first goal of the game. After the initial shot on net the puck bounced into the air. Two Bruins slide into Jake Allen interfering with his ability to play the puck. David Krejci is there to slam the puck into the net. 1-0 Bruins. Or was it? The Blues challenged the play for obvious reasons. The goal was upheld. If you or anyone you know knows what goaltender interference is, you are urged to call the NHL.
Here’s the official explanation that was sent out after this happened. Which in reality doesn’t explain well anything really.

They went on to tell the Blues that it wasn’t goaltender interference because Allen didn’t fight his way back to the net. I’d like to see a ref or a linesman fight their way back to the net when two guys are barreling down on them.
The #stlblues were told that goaltender interference was not called because Allen did not fight his way back into position and could not have made the save.

It was what it was. The Blues were down 1-0. Despite that they were outshooting the Bruins 14-9. In the second period, when Allen was allowed to do his job, he would play some solid hockey. Allen snagged a Krejci wrister after Krejci made it to the front of the net.
22 shots on goal in the second by Boston. The Blues had just 6. That’s not going to help anyone get back into a game. And giving up a powerplay goal in the third wasn’t going to help either. A Vladimir Tarasenko penalty gave the Bruins a man advantage, and they sure took advantage of it. (This was the first penalty of the game by the way. Almost halfway through the third) David Pastrnak fed the puck to Patrice Bergeron for the one time chance. Allen had no chance to stop it and just like that it was 2-0 bad guys.
Allen was able to keep it 2-0 thanks to a save on his former teammate David Backes.
The Blues pulled Allen, which here lately hasn’t been a nail in the coffin right away. Jaden Schwartz finally is able to beat Boston starter Tukka Rask right at his front door. He didn’t even have to push him. Schwartz scored his 15th of the year thanks to a great pass from Tarasenko. The Blues had life.
After David Backes showed his love for Brayden Schenn, he glided the puck into the empty net for the 3-1 Bruins victory.
The Blues were outshot 46-33. Jake Allen had a strong performance despite getting no offensive help from the guys in front of him. The Blues take on the Sabres tomorrow night.

They removed part of his colon but not enough because I see a giant asshole on the ice there.

Next Question...Mike Yeo is a bigger man than I am when it came to talking about the goal call....
Yeo: "I'm actually happy for Jake. ... I thought he was outstanding tonight. ... If he has the same mindset then good things are coming for him." #stlblues pic.twitter.com/0BtlfzKOHg

Well Jake, why DONT you have a 10 ft stick?
Allen on controversial goal: "I was almost to the trapezoid line on the other side. I don't think I had a chance. ... Unless I'm supposed to have a 10-foot stick, I don't think I make that save." #stlblues pic.twitter.com/aNyLf5KJgk

They don’t know what it even is anymore...
Why even bother having a goalie interference rule if it’s going to be ignored like it was last night? #stlblues https://t.co/bONEPqOiSo
