GameDay Thread: Bruins at Blues

The Blues are missing Vladimir Tarasenko, but the Bruins are missing some big guns themselves.

So, we’re all aware at this point that Vladimir Tarasenko is temporarily broken. But in case you didn’t notice, the Bruins are short a few people. From Chris Pinkert and the GameDay Blog, here’s a list of people who are out for the Bruins:

The Bruins are banged up with several significant injuries at the moment. Patrice Bergeron has been out since late February with a fractured foot and has recently begun skating but won’t play Wednesday. David Backes is out indefinitely after being cut by a skate on the leg last Saturday, and Zdeno Chara left the March 13 game against Carolina and has been labeled day-to-day by Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy. Boston is also without Rick Nash, Charlie McAvoy and Jake DeBrusk.

That’s a lot, but they were still able to shut out the Bolts and put up four against the Blue Jackets in an OT loss on Monday.

Still, that missing chunk of their line-up could benefit the Blues. Let’s hope so.

This is your GameDay Thread. Comment like you’re glad that the Blackhawks are officially out.

Let’s do this. Let’s go Blues.
