Blues rank first on THN’s Fan Misery Index

We’re number one!

Every year, The Hockey News publishes their fan misery index, looking at the amount of time a team’s fanbase has gone without any substantial post-season accomplishments.

In what shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone around these parts, the Blues ranked tops of that list, beating out such luminaries as the Buffalo Sabres, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Washington Capitals. Here’s what THN had to say:

1. St. Louis Blues The oldest franchise without a Cup hasn’t reached the final since the first years after expansion. And those shouldn’t even count since the playoff format guaranteed an expansion team a final berth.

THN can find something good to say about nearly every team (except Buffalo), but they couldn’t mention something positive about the Blues? Tarasenko? Schenn? Schwartz? Petro?

I mean, for right now that’s literally the list, but still.
