This one is for everyone who thought that Allen tweaked something in the second period and then continued to tweak something throughout the rest of the game:
Allen: "I pulled my hamstring. I had to battle through it. Any other game, I probably would have went out. But it's a game we needed, needed to win ... I'm not leaving the game." #stlblues

Was this Jake’s call? The coaching staff’s? Ultimately it’s the coaching staff’s, because allowing a player to make his own call in a game where the playoffs are on the line is asinine.
Considering he had a pulled hamstring, Allen played very well in the third period and the game as a whole. However, it’s not like there wasn’t a more than capable goaltender sitting on the bench in the form of Carter Hutton who could take over.
Allen risked major injury by staying in, and the coaching staff risked the game (which, to be fair, was lost by that point considering the Blues were adverse to scoring tonight). This is irresponsible.
