The Acadie-Bathurst Titan, backstopped by 2016 second-round pick (59th overall) Evan Fitzpatrick, will represent the QMJHL in the 2018 Memorial Cup. Fitzpatrick turned aside 29 of 30 shots to stake Le Titan to a 2-1 win in Game Six of the QMJHL championship series.

Fitzpatrick, who was traded to Acadie-Bathurst from Sherbrooke in early January, finished the President’s Cup playoffs with a league-leading 2.10 goals-against average and a 16-4 record, while placing third in playoff save percentage at 92.5%.

Acadie-Bathurst will open the 100th anniversary of the Memorial Cup tournament with a game against the as-yet-undetermined Western Hockey League champions in Regina, Saskatchewan on May 19.
