So Paul Stastny was on Andy Strickland’s Hockey Sense broadcast, and this came out of it:
Paul Stastny recently said on "Hockey Sense" that he would "absolutely" consider a return to the #stlblues if they were to show interest in bringing him back. https://t.co/HVgYU9V3Qw— Andy Strickland (@andystrickland) June 2, 2018
The hometown boy didn’t give a hometown discount to the Blues before being traded to the Winnipeg Jets at this year’s trade deadline. Stastny’s four year contract was worth $7 million against the salary cap each year. Unloading him at the deadline was both a metaphorical white flag on the Blues’ season (even if no one wanted to admit it) and also a way for Doug Armstrong to shed cap space to make resigning Robby Fabbri and Joel Edmundson easier - and to perhaps bring aboard talent during the off-season.
Some of the talent that could return if the Blues want him is Stastny. He underproduced for his salary ($28 million dollars for 175 points is a bit excessive), but at a more reasonable price could be a stopgap for the Blues annual center issues if they can’t get an upgrade to sign.
So what say you? Should Paul Stastny return?
Should the Blues re-sign Paul Stastny?

Only if they have to and only at a decent salary/term.
