The Blues released a statement today regarding Robby Fabbri’s contract; earlier they announced that he was cleared for play after missing a season and a half with two tears to the same ACL.
From the Blues’ official statement:
The St. Louis Blues agreed to terms on a one-year contract with Robby Fabbri worth $925,000 on Tuesday.
Fabbri was recently medically cleared to return to action after recovering from his second ACL surgery in October. He is expected to be a full participant in training camp in September.
Last year, Fabbri’s salary came in at $832,500, so it’s a slight uptick. If he hadn’t’ve been injured for such an extended period of time, he could’ve had more leverage for a longer deal with a higher cap hit. As it stands, the Blues are paying under a million dollars for a player who had 66 points in 123 regular season games.
