Blues at Stars Preseason GameDay Thread: Finally

Hockey’s (kind of) back!

Whether or not preseason hockey is “real hockey” is something that’s up for consistent debate around these parts. Some folks view it as a waste of time and money as far as tickets are concerned, others (me included) view it as a prime chance to see what the new guys can bring and where the coaching staff is going with their line combos and special teams decisions.

The trick to all of this is being able to actually see the Blues’ squad in action. Unfortunately, that’s going to be difficult tonight with no TV coverage. If you’re an expert in visualization, however, tonight’s game will be broadcast 0n Sports Radio 98.1 HD3 tonight. You can also listen through the NHL app and streaming on the Blues’ website. Tonight will be the inaugural broadcast for Joey Vitale, who is taking over color commentary for the recently departed Kelly Chase. Of course, Chris Kerber will also be back calling play-by-play.

Robert Thomas and Jordan Kyrou will more than likely be in tonight, with Kyrou slotted in at Tarasenko’s spot alongside Ryan O’Reilly and Pat Maroon. If there’s a better time for Kyrou to strut his stuff and make the team out of camp, I can’t think of one.

Tonight’s puck drop is at 7:30 Central, so gather ‘round the radio for some Blues hockey.

Welcome back, everyone. Let’s do this. Let’s Go Blues.
