There is something satisfying, even in preseason hockey, about taking a home and home series. Friday night, the Blues had their A-ish squad out there. This afternoon against the Jackets, it’s got more of a B+ squad flavor. Jordan Kyrou, Klim Kostin, and Robby Fabbri will be the key cogs offensively, while the defense will be relying on Chris Butler and Vince Dunn.
Forwards: Ivan Barbashev, Sammy Blais, Robby Fabbri, Dmitrij Jaskin, Klim Kostin, Jordan Kyrou, Mackenzie MacEachern, Adam Musil, Jordan Nolan, Nolan Stevens, Oskar Sundqvist, Robert Thomas, Chris Thorburn
Defense: Chris Butler, Vince Dunn, Niko Mikkola, Mitch Reinke, Jordan Schmaltz, Jake Walman
Goalies: Ville Husso, Chad Johnson
Ivan Barbashev may be in “play for your roster spot” mode today. The growth of Kyrou and Robert Thomas is making the young forward increasingly expendable.

Let’s do this. Let’s Go Blues.
