During Tuesday night’s disappointing 4-0 loss to the Washington Capitals, Robert Bortuzzo made a couple questionable plays. He was given two minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct for going after the puck (which was under goaltender Pheonix Copley) after the whistle, and he was dinged for an elbowing on Michel Kempny.
For that latter offense, he will be missing the next three games, which includes the opener against the Winnipeg Jets.
This leaves the door open for Jordan Schmaltz and Jake Walman tonight.
