The Blues have two games left before a ten day vacation (the ASG break and a bye week) - this afternoon, they’re playing the Los Angeles Kings, and Wednesday’s tilt against the Anaheim Ducks.
Normally, heading to California before the break would be a rough end to the first half of the season, but this year? This could be the perfect close-out for a team that’s been righting a ship a little bit at a time. The Los Angeles Kings are bad. Yes, the Blues lost to them - and their coach was fired because of that! - but that doesn’t detract from the fact that while the Blues have been able to inch up the standings the Kings are still in the basement. They lost 7-1 to the Avalanche Saturday night, in a game that they allowed six second period goals.
They are still 4-5-1 in their last ten, so this won’t be an absolute cakewalk for the Blues - but if they can capitalize on some remaining Kings slump from Saturday, it could lead to a win.
This is your GameDay thread. Comment like you’re happy you don’t have to stay up until midnight to watch this game.
Let’s do this. Let’s Go Blues.
