Blues at Flyers GameDay Thread: Good timing?

The Blues and Flyers both need wins, so someone’s getting a reward tonight

NHL: St. Louis Blues at Philadelphia Flyers Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Flyers are going on six games without a win; the Blues have three losses in their last four games. Neither team has lived up to any expectations this season - both sit at or near the bottom of their respective divisions, and the fan bases may lead the fan misery index on social media.

The Flyers have Gritty, but they also have Jori “I had a court date for buying coke” Lehtera. Bullet dodged there, Blues. Bullet dodged.

Jordan Binnington will finally be getting his first NHL start tonight. The Blues play tomorrow night in Dallas; with a Central Division opponent Jake Allen needs the rest tonight. He’s also made 14 starts in a row and had a clunker of a game Saturday night, so it’s deserved. Binnington, for his part, allowed three goals in his last three San Antonio Rampage starts, so getting the nod tonight becomes even less of a no-brainer.

Pat Maroon, subject of waiver speculation, will be in tonight as Tyler Bozak is taking a day for an upper body injury.

This is your GameDay Thread. Comment like you just wish Louie had pants like Gritty does.

Let’s do this. Let’s Go Blues.
