It’s totally understandable that game seven still hurts for Bruins fans and for the team itself, but does the world really need a retrospective on how sad they were that they lost? I’m sure the whole thing was a gut punch, but the Bruins fell in a 4-0 hole during a must win game, and one of their best players, Brad Marchand, actively stopped playing before one of those four goals (and some could argue at other times of the night).
Someone has to win, someone has to lose. I’m sad that the Cards aren’t in the World Series right now, or that they didn’t beat the Red Sox in 2013, but that’s their own damned fault. I don’t need a retrospective to know that adult men can be disappointed in themselves, and I’m pretty sure that the Bruins don’t need it before tonight, either.
These kinds of articles aren’t for the team. They don’t want to re-live anything. They’re for the fans who wallow. I think most Bruins fans are pumped as hell for a little revenge tonight, but they’re not crying into their Sam Adams (which is a St. Louis recipe but... too much, too soon?) about game seven. They want to see a good game tonight.
I think that’s how most Blues fans are handling it too.
This is your GameDay Thread. Comment like you just want the wallowers to get off of social media for a night so everyone can enjoy hockey.
Let’s do this. Let’s Go Blues
