Calm yourself, Blues Twitter. Jake has actually been very good this season. He’s only started eight games, but in that 5-1-2 record he has a 2.25 GAA and a .927 SV%. It’s a smaller sample size than Jordan Binnington has, but Allen’s numbers are better at this point.
An equal sample size to compare are each goalie’s last two games. Binnington has allowed 7 goals on 44 shots, and made it only 12:57 into Saturday night’s loss against the Maple Leafs. Allen, in his last two starts, both on the road, has allowed one goal on 70 shots. Including his time in relief Saturday, he’s allowed two goals on 85 shots.
He’s the hot hand right now. Ride ‘em while the going is good and before January hits.
This is your gameday thread. Comment like you don’t care who the goalie is as long as the Blues win.
Let’s do it. Let’s Go Blues.
