Don’t look now, but the Blues may have a goalie... tandem.

You thought I was going to say controversy, weren’t you? Please. Jake Allen is making back to back starts for the first time in ages, but that’s on the strength of a 35 save performance in the Blues’ 2-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers. He’s played exceedingly well so far this season - why wouldn’t you want a tandem like Binnington and Allen right now?

If the team feels Binnington needs to rest for now, he probably needs to rest. It’s ok. It’s not a big deal. It’s the Sharks, anyway - Jake may or may not be tested tonight. San Jose’s lost eight of their last ten games and are well out of the playoff picture.
