The last time that the Winnipeg Jets were in St. Louis, there was a handshake line. The Blues won their first round playoff series four games to two, and the Jets had to get on a plane and fly to wherever the closest airport to Winnipeg is, dejected and frustrated.
Friday night, David Perron made them dejected and frustrated all over again, with this overtime game winner:
Perron set a new Blues record with his fourth overtime game winner this season in 39 games. The Blues may’ve gotten better about letting games get to extra time, but Perron still wants that extra time to be brief.
Friday night’s game was defense optional, with the Blues skating to an eventual 5-4 win. This afternoon’s game will be the last game played in the Enterprise Center before the ‘20s roar on in. Now’s as good of a time as any to get that eighth win in a row.
This is your GameDay Thread. Comment like you mean it.
Let’s do this. Let’s Go Blues.
