Last night’s 3-1 loss to the Arizona Coyotes wasn’t pretty in many ways, like how the Blues couldn’t hit the broad side of the barn - they had 40 SOG and just one went in. Joel Edmundson went down, and so did Sammy Blais, but at one point in the second period, four Blues were in the locker room with injuries.
With Blais down, Robby Fabbri will be back in. With Edmundson out, we may be seeing Michael Del Zotto tomorrow night in Ottawa. But most exciting is that David Perron was aboard the flight to the great white north. Perron’s been out since January 17th, ending his 13 game point streak. He was a welcome re-addition to the Blues this season, and even with his two month absence is still currently fourth on the team in points (17G, 18A).
Vladimir Tarasenko is more than likely out for this three game jaunt to the Eastern Conference, so any scoring power the Blues can recuperate would be nice. The Blues don’t have a concrete timetable for Perron’s return, but “soon” seems fair.
