Blues at Sharks GameDay Thread: Allen back in net to help cool off Sharks

The goalie netted a shutout against the Kings on Thursday.

Regardless of your opinions on Jake Allen, Jordan Binnington, and the whole goaltending mess, two things are clear: Binnington’s loss against the Ducks are sloppy and Allen got a shutout on Thursday. Ergo, it stands to reason that you reward the guy with the shutout. Jake Allen starts tonight against the San Jose Sharks, a team who has been the only consistently good one in the state of California this season. They’re 3-6-1 in their last ten games.

Unfortunately Blues sniper Vladimir Tarasenko, who had a goal and an assist on Thursday, will not play this afternoon due to an upper body injury. This is unfortunate not just because Tarasenko’s a key component of the Blues’ second half success, but because thanks to the team’s two game losing streak, the Dallas Stars are just three points behind and play the Blackhawks tonight.

This is your GameDay thread. Comment like you’re already day drinking.

Let’s do this. Let’s Go Blues.
