“We’re not worried. We’ve had our backs against the wall the entire second half of the year. We know we’ll respond. I was happy with our third period, but it was a little too late. We’ll bring that into Game 2.”
Robert Thomas isn’t wrong. The third period was their best (obviously, the second left a bit to be desired), but that third period push after slacking off for two or so periods has happened a few times with the Blues this post-season. It worked for them in Game Five in Winnpeg, but that was about the only time it worked.
We know they can pressure for sixty minutes - game seven against Dallas is proof of that. Tonight would be a good opportunity for the Blues to shellack Martin Jones into oblivion and come home to St. Louis with a 1-1 split.

Let’s do this. Let’s Go Blues.
