Noting that Vince Dunn will be out tonight is a disappointment, but not a surprise. The defenseman hasn’t played since taking a puck to the jaw in game three against the San Jose Sharks.
To be honest, it isn’t much of a surprise either to hear that Robert Thomas will sit and Robby Fabbri will be taking his place.

Thomas had been taking maintenance days recently in lieu of practice, so there was a lingering issue there. You may remember this hit from Monday night:
If you’re thinking that what you just watched is why Thomas is out, you may be wrong.
Thomas officially out. Berube says it had nothing to do with the hit from Krug.

Thomas did not return for the rest of the game post-hit on Monday, so draw your own conclusions.
Here’s hoping Fabbri is strong on the puck tonight.
