After a hearing this afternoon and apparently a six hour deliberation time, the NHL’s Department of Player Safety has suspended Blues forward Oskar Sundqvist for Saturday night’s game three. Sundqvist hit Bruins defenseman Matt Grzelcyk when he was, as the DoPS determined, in a vulnerable position.

It remains to be seen who will take Sundqvist’s place in the lineup Saturday, or if Robert Thomas will be able to play. Sundqvist was assessed a two minute minor for boarding; Grzelcyk, unfortunately, went to the hospital to be monitored under concussion protocols and did not make the trip with the Bruins.
