Bruins Highlights:

First Period -

The Blues were already down a man when Ryan O’Reilly committed the dumbest penalty in the NHL. Delay of game call gave the Bruins a two man advantage. Brad Marchand one timed the puck past Binnington giving the Bruins a 1-0 lead.

Shots for the first were 12-9 Boston.

Second Period -

This period saw not one but two St. Louis powerplays. It also saw zero goals. Blues outshot the Bruins 10-8.

Third Period -

Less than three minutes into the period Brandon Carlo scored to make it 2-0 Boston. The puck hopped on Binnington going over his pad and into the back of the net. Not great for those of you scoring at home.

Midway through the period the Bruins score their third goal of the night. The Blues turned the puck over just outside of their defensive zone. The Bruins skate the puck in and it led to Karson Kuhlman’s first playoff goal. Also not great.

It’s time for your false hope goal of the night, brought to you by Ryan O’Reilly. At first it wasn’t even called a goal, but it was reviewed and awarded. The puck was able to cross the goal line despite Tukka Rask’s pad being right there. 3-1.

Marchand found David Pastrnak and Pastrnak buried any chance of us seeing anyone drinking copious amounts of alcohol out of the big shiny thing.

The Bruins added an empty net goal and said goodbye St. Louis with a 5-1 win. They force a game 7. Uninspired, shitty effort from the home team.
