June 24:

-5 St. Louis area products selected in the 1st round of the NHL draft on June 24, 2016 (6th - Matthew Tkachuk, 7th - Clayton Keller, 11th - Logan Brown, 15th - Luke Kunin, 29th - Trent Frederic).

-June 24, 2016: St. Louis Blues trade Brian Elliott to the Calgary Flames for a 2nd round pick (Jordan Kyrou) in the 2016 NHL Draft and a 3rd round pick in 2018.

-June 24, 1999: Al MacInnis won the Norris Trophy and named 1st team All Star.

-1993 Expansion draft: Anaheim Mighty Ducks select Guy Hebert from the St. Louis Blues. Florida Panthers select Dave Lowry from the St Louis Blues.

-Jacques Plante signed contract with the St. Louis Blues on June 24, 1968, 2 weeks after the Blues drafted him in the intra league draft.

-June 24, 2017: St. Louis Blues select Robert Thomas 20th overall. Trade Jori Lehtera and two 1st round picks for Brayden Schenn. Trade Ryan Reaves for 31st pick (Klim Kostin).

-St. Louis Blues select Erik Johnson 1st overall in the 2006 NHL draft.

June 25:

-June 25, 2010: St. Louis Blues select Jaden Schwartz with the 14th pick. Trade David Rundblad to the Ottawa Senators for the 16th pick. Select Vladimir Tarasenko with the 16th pick.

-Guy Carbonneau and Vaclav Nedomansky become the 23rd and 24th players to wear a St. Louis Blues uniform to be inducted in the HHOF. Players 1 - 22 were: Broduer, Kariya, Housley, Pronger, Shanahan, Oates, Gilmour, Hull, Anderson, MacInnis, Stevens, Fuhr, Federko, Hawerchuk, Mullen, Gretzky, Stastny, Lapointe, Plante, Hall, Moore, Harvey

-St. Louis approved as an ‘acceptable city’ for NHL expansion on June 25, 1965.

June 26:

-St. Louis Blues name Jacques Martin as their 14th Head Coach on June 27, 1986.

-Barret Jackman Drafted in the 1st round (17th overall) by the St. Louis Blues in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft on June 26, 1999.

-2009 NHL Draft: Brayden Schenn selected 5th overall.

June 27:

-St. Louis Blues selected Robby Fabbri with the 21st pick in the 2014 NHL draft on June 27, 2014.

June 28:

-St. Louis Blues trade Roman Polak to Toronto Maple Leafs for Carl Gunnarsson. Draft Ivan Barbashev with the 33rd pick. Draft Sammy Blais with the 176th pick.

-Former St. Louis Blues player Doug Gilmour elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame on June 28, 2011.

-St. Louis Blues decline option on Kelly Chase ending his playing career on June 28, 2000.

-Al MacInnis elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame on June 28, 2007.

June 29:

-St. Louis Blues buyout the final year of Jay McKee’s contract on June 29, 2009.

-1994 NHL draft held on June 29, 1994. St. Louis Blues select 8 players. Roman Vopat was the only pick to play for St. Louis. Blues 1st round was compensation for Scott Stevens signing; 2nd round was compensation for Petr Nedved.

-Paul Kariya of the Blues announced his retirement from the NHL on June 29, 2011.

-St. Louis Blues announced the return of Chuck Lefley and the signings of Mike Liut and Joe Mullen on June 29, 1979.

-Chris Pronger elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame on June 29, 2015.

-Craig Berube named Head Coach of the Chicago Wolves on June 29, 2016.

June 30:

-Blues sign Mike Van Ryn to a 3 year contract on June 30, 2000 after he was declared a Free Agent after not signing with the New Jersey Devils.

-Sale of the St. Louis Blues to Dave Checketts became official and John Davidson named Team President on June 30, 2006.

-Doug Weight traded to the St. Louis Blues with Michel Riesen by the Edmonton Oilers for Jochen Hecht, Marty Reasoner and Jan Horacek on June 30, 2001.
