The annual Traverse City Prospect Tournament in Traverse City, MI, begins on September 6th. Annually, the Blues, Blackhawks, Red Wings, Maple Leafs, Blue Jackets, Wild, and Stars compete. The prospect tourney, one of the most notable of the off-season, is always a welcome sight, because it means that training camp is right around the corner, which means that pre-season games are right around the corner.

Which, of course, means that hockey is right around the corner.

The Blues released their tournament roster today. It has a few familiar names on it:

Forwards: Nikita Alexandrov (32), Mitchell Balmas (88), Kevin Hancock (82), Krystof Hrabik (89), Robby Jackson (79), Dakota Joshua (54), Tanner Kaspick (83), Austen Keating (61), Klim Kostin (37), Mathias Laferriere (58), Jeremy Michel (42), Austin Poganski (53), Nolan Stevens (47), Alexey Toropchenko (65), Keean Washkurak (40).

Defense: Jake Christiansen (56), Walter Flower (72), Nathan LaRose (94), Justin MacPherson (84), Mitch Reinke (39), River Rymsha (63), Tyler Tucker (75).

Goaltenders: Colten Ellis (45), Joel Hofer (1).

Keep an eye on forward Klim Kostin and defenseman Mitch Reinke. Reinke had one game with the Blues, a 6-0 drubbing by the Arizona Coyotes back in March of 2018. Last year with the San Antonio Rampage he potted 12 goals and added 33 assists in 76 games. In 66 games with the Rampage next year, Kostin scored ten goals and added 14 assists.

The schedule for the games is as follows; the games are all available on FoxSports Go:

Sept. 6 vs. Toronto - 5:30 p.m. (FSGO)

Sept. 7 at Detroit - 2:30 p.m. (FSGO)

Sept. 9 vs. Chicago - 4:30 p.m. (FSGO)

Sept. 10 vs. TBD (FSGO)
